A versatile music teacher with over 15 years of experience, Cherie combines empathy, passion and creativity to help her students reach their goals. She started teaching piano in 2009 and has since expanded her expertise to include voice tutoring, music theory, vocal coaching, diction coaching, classroom instruction and choir conducting. In 2019, Cherie was invited by the Singapore Symphony Chorus to serve as a voice clinician at The SSC Affair. She has taught students in both Singapore and the UK, and her students have earned merits and distinctions in their music examinations, as well as offers from prestigious music conservatories and performing arts academies. While placing the utmost importance on vocal health and technique, Cherie finds her greatest joy in witnessing her students’ growth in confidence, self-expression, and passion. She encourages her students to become independent learners and, ultimately, their own lifelong ‘teachers’.
